Journeys Through Journalism is the new site for my blog. The purpose of this blog is to practice using social networking skills. It began as a project for an advanced PR writing class and is now a project to discuss topics closely related to my new life after college.
Since graduating from UO I have spent a summer on the East Coast, been a bar cart girl/waitress/bartender for miNa’s at McNary Golf Course in Keizer, Ore., moved to Portland to work for a small integrated marketing firm downtown, and landed a part-time job at Macy’s to pay the bills.
I can’t wait for a summer in Portland to enjoy the arts, the environment, the people, and the shopping. Blessings to everyone in this stressful environment in our economy. One can only hope for a turn-around in Oregon.
